My name is John Byde. I'm 58 years old, of English origin and am a Swiss citizen. I'm a father of four children - Benjamin (8), Anna (13), Clara (15) and Frank (20). My children have been homeschooled by my amazing wife, Sophie, since two of them were diagnosed with dyslexia a number of years ago. I've been living in Echallens, Switzerland, with my Swiss wife since 1997. I trained as a librarian and then qualified as a special needs teacher/tutor in 1993. I have been working in this field ever since, first in London, and then in Switzerland, both in schools and privately.
I'm an avid bookworm, but can usually be dragged outside by my kids and dog, Chips, to walk, play football and visit various parts of this lovely country!
